As a Real Estate agent, Developer, Builder I am somewhat excited about recent events. I only hope that we planned enough for future growth in our infastructure here in American Falls. With recent announcements, it brings the job influx into the Power County area to about 1200. CCG and its affiliates are somewhere in the neighborhood of 950 and 250 for McCain Foods. The spinoff of support services and the like could actually exceed the estimated total of the in house jobs predicted by the primary employers. We could be seeing an influx more likely of a total of 2500 new jobs in the American Falls area in the next 24 to 60 months. With a housing shortage already in place and a rise in the price of current inventory, one can only assume that the new workers are going to require new and more adequate housing. The whole economy of Southeastern Idaho has been on the increase for approximately 3 years. So as of this posting we are on the edge of our seat.
